Cycle for Life 2020

Come and Join us on the 2020 Cycle for Life.

With the situation with Covid-19 now beginning to ease and life returning to normal (albet a new normal), perhaps your thoughts are turning to getting out and about for an adventure. Well CSF has something for you - join us on all or part of our 4 day bike ride 23 - 26th September and raise some money for a great cause at the same time.

This year’s event sees CSF and its cyclists following La Flow Velo, a dedicated cycle route crossing from the Atlantic, through the Charente to Angouleme for 4 days of gentle exercise. Starting on Wednesday lunchtime at Rochefort, with its C17th maritime arsenal, cyclists will stop at Saint-Savinien and Cognac,  ending with a welcome lunch on Saturday at Angouleme, best known for its paper industry and as the capital of the Bande Dessinée.

CSF National President, Pat Lockett " The National association provides support to our local associations but has no independent means of raising funds.  Last year, sponsorship from the Cycle for Life raised almost enough funds to cover the costs of the annual three day Trainers' Conference in November.  This Conference is the most important event in the CSF year, enabling our trainers to share, discuss and develop our training.  This is vital to ensure a high quality and consistent support service across France.  It is also the biggest expense which CSF National faces.  If you cannot ride then do consider making a donation through http://www.alvarum.com/cancersupportfrance/cycleforlife-2020  And don't forget, the cyclists would love to hear you urging them on!"

Sounds like fun doesn't it, meandering through lovely French countryside.  We are well advanced in our planning and now have a Participants Pack ready, so come and check it out at our Cycle for Life Facebook page at www.facebook.com/activityforlife.
