Our National President Carol Quinlan

Retiring to France after a career spanning nursing, health & safety, management and training, Cancer Support France National President Carol Quinlan joined CSF in 2015, becoming an Active Listener. She quickly became involved at a national level, initially with the National Helplines, then in 2019 she also took on the role of National Training Coordinator. As well as delivering training, Carol’s knowledge and experience were invaluable in shaping the early development of the CSF training materials we use today.

Carol was elected National President in March 2025 and re-elected in April 2026. Since taking up the role she has implemented several CSF internal initiatives as well as continuing as National Telephone and Email Helplines Coordinator, a position she has held since 2020.

In 2025 Carol was instrumental in securing external funding for an Active Listener Conference in Bordeaux, an event attended by CSF volunteers from the affiliate CSF associations across France.

Her energy, experience and vision are being put to great use ensuring that Cancer Support France grows and develops while ensuring the future of the work that we do helping English speaking people in France touched by cancer.

Outside of CSF Carol’s passions are rowing, winning a bronze medal earlier this year at the National French Indoor Rowing Championships. While enjoying a rural life she is also able to pursue her support for rugby, both locally and nationally.
